The application fully covers documents flow in a Bonded Warehouse. It is based on in-house developed Delphi Framework with easy-to-use graphical screens which provide the easiest and fastest way for our users to maintain large number of documents in their everyday work. The user interface is very simplified, includes help on fields which enables fast data entry with maximum error reduction.

 

Set of official documents and internal reports is provided. Each document can be produced immediately when transaction entry is confirmed, as it’s logical outcome. They can also be generated in off-time mode. Generated document/report can be printed, stored as a file in various formats (PDF, MS Word doc, HTML, etc.), or faxed/emailed to the addressed client. Reports adjustment to customer needs through application parameters is a benefit.

The main data entry program, named Documents Entry, deals with large amount of data. They are divided into several groups and spread over five panels according to their nature and importance, so handling is simplified as much as possible. Supported modes of transport, as the most frequently used, are ‘air’ and ‘ocean’, while others, like ‘truck’ or ‘rail’ can be easily added upon request. Concept of consolidated shipments in more levels is an extra feature: structure of consolidated shipment is presented graphically as a tree view, which increases synoptic and makes handling of cargoes very easy regardless of consolidation level.

Export operations

From warehouse's point of view, export process is simpler then import process. Special feature like auto-calculation of CBM and CUWT using factors from parameters table is a useful tool for warehouse operator. Invoice and Weight & Dimension worksheet is supported in form of a report which includes previously entered data.

 

Module supports local cartage process, both in pickup and delivery case. It is possible to link local cartage with imported or exported shipments. Proof of delivery (P.O.D.) is available over email in two formats:

Cartage bill in form of a report is automatically generated during data collection.

 

The RNS service offers a more timely and efficient notification of release decisions to participants by providing warehouse operators and other interested parties with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) RNS messages. The United Nations EDI International standard "Electronic Data Interchange For Administration, Commerce, and Transport" (EDIFACT) is the message standard which is used by RNS. EDI is the computer-to-computer exchange of business data in standard formats. To stay ahead in today's market, companies are choosing EDI because it offers speedy transactions, accurate information exchange and cost savings. Intens RNS module is tested and accepted as correct on Canada Customs portal in July, 2003.
